Our experienced team specializes in the assessment of children and adolescents who have learning, attention and social-emotional challenges.

Dr. Petrina Hough

Dr. Hough holds a PhD in Educational Psychology and has been a registered Psychologist in Alberta since 2003. Dr. Hough conducts assessments for children and youth with a wide range of developmental, learning, behavioral and social-emotional difficulties including ADHD, learning disorders, giftedness, anxiety, depression and intellectual disabilities. She has extensive experience working with students of all ages in school environments. Through this experience she has developed a high level of knowledge and a comprehensive skill set specific to intervention and support for children who are struggling with learning.

Dr. Hough has a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults to help them reach goals, solve problems, and gain independence. Using cognitive, behavioural and supportive approaches, Dr. Hough helps clients reduce the impact of their symptoms and improve their self-esteem. Dr. Hough offers in-person and online treatment services for clients with behavior and academic problems and social-emotional difficulties such as anxiety, depression and anger. She also treats attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, body image concerns, bullying, family problems, panic and phobias/fears.

Dr. Hough is a licensed psychologist registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists, Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology and Prince Edward Island Psychologists Registration Board. She works with clients from Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.

Rosemarie Earle, M.Ed.

With over 27 years of experience in education, Rosemarie Earle is a dedicated and knowledgeable educator specializing in reading intervention and inclusive education. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and is trained in Level B assessment, which she has used extensively to support psychologists in psychoeducational evaluations and to inform specialized programming for students from kindergarten through Grade 12.

Rosemarie brings a wealth of expertise in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with speech and language delays, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and cognitive impairments. She is a certified SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) trainer, equipping her to work effectively with children who present with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

A strong advocate for student regulation and well-being, Rosemarie has developed and implemented individualized regulation programs to help students achieve success both academically and socially. Her commitment to inclusive practices and her extensive experience make her a valuable leader in the field of special education.

 

Paola Romeo

Paola is our office administrator, bringing both warmth and organization to the team. She’s a certified athletic therapist from Mount Royal University and is currently finishing up her nursing degree at the University of Calgary. Growing up, she was always involved in sports, and today she continues to enjoy staying active through walks, runs, Pilates, and is hoping to return to her favorite sport, ringette. Family is at the heart of her life, and one of her favorite roles is being an auntie.
