Emotional Regulation Groups
Does your child struggle with managing big feelings, staying calm, or adapting to changes in routine? Our Emotional Regulation Groups are designed to help school-aged children build the essential skills they need to understand and manage their emotions more effectively—at home, at school, and in social settings.
Emotional Regulation Groups for School-Aged Students
Using a blended approach grounded in three evidence-based programs—Zones of Regulation, MindUP, and The Alert Program (“How Does Your Engine Run?”)—we help students develop emotional awareness, co-regulation strategies, and tools for self-regulation in a supportive, engaging environment.
Led by a skilled educator experienced in supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges, each group is tailored to the individual needs and strengths of its participants. Through interactive activities, mindfulness practices, movement, and social learning, children gain a deeper understanding of how their bodies and emotions work—and what they can do to feel more in control.
Our goal is to empower children with the tools to manage frustration, anxiety, and impulsivity, while building confidence, resilience, and healthy relationships.
